Laleh Nozari

I was born in Iran, in 1978. I started drawing and painting at an early age and began to study in the area of painting since age fifteen. Because of my passion for painting and dedication to fine-art, I completed my doctorate in painting at Mimarsinan University in Istanbul, Turkey. During that time, I had the honor to work with well-known artists such as Nosratollah Moslemian, Devrim Erbil, and Tanju Demirci. Most of my paintings are combination of figurative and landscape subjects. I represent the integration of art and culture in my works and living in East and West has had a great influence on my paintings. I have been inspired by expressionism artists. My paintings reflect the human emotions, hopes, fears and making connections. I use acrylic on canvas. My art-works have been published in several newspapers and magazines in Iran and Turkey as well as being covered by media such as TRT 1, BBC, and CNN news channels. As an artist, I believe in life-long learning, creativity, hard work and dedication.
