Née le 13 juin 1979 à Sept-Îles, Naomi Dufour a grandi dans le Bas-Saint-Laurent. À l’orée de l’âge adulte, elle a bourlingué dans différentes villes du Québec, pour finalement s’ancrer dans les Cantons-de-l‘Est. C’est aujourd’hui dans le confort de sa campagne qu’elle laisse s’épanouir sa créativité.

 

Artiste-peintre autodidacte depuis plus de 10 ans, Naomi a ce je-ne-sais-quoi qui lui permet d’explorer de nouvelles pistes, de sortir des sentiers battus, d’avoir un souffle inventif qui lui est propre. Son approche repose sur l’union de l’art à la décoration, dans l’ultime objectif de personnaliser un environnement et de lui donner l’effet recherché.

Une fuite du rationnel qui permet à l’âme d’avoir un accès direct à l’instant –

Une communion qui ne connaît point de limite. 

 

« L’art contemporain dans lequel je baigne me semble sans frontière. Au fil des ans, la peinture est devenue une essence vitale qui me permet de m’exprimer autrement. Je me lance dans une poursuite vers l’inconnu, avec confiance et abandon. Mon élan créatif est en perpétuel mouvement et sans attache. Le style abstrait m’attire, car il se veut avant tout un dialogue personnel avec le corps. »

 

 

 

Born June 13th 1979 in Sept-Iles, Naomi Dufour grew up in the Bas-Saint-Laurent.  On the verge of becoming an adult, she lived in different towns to finally settle down in the Eastern Townships. It’s today in the comfort of the country side that she lets her creativity flourish.

 

Self-taught artist-painter for more than 10 years now, Naomi has a I-do-not-know-what, that permits her to explore new trails, to turn aside from the beaten track, to have an inventive breath of fresh air that are her own. Her approach rests on the union of art to decoration, in the ultimate objective to personalize an environment and to give it the desired effect.
